This thread is a continuation of the previous thread, [Serious] EU Players, let's talk! Please read to catch yourself up on the EU situation before possibly re-posting. Thanks!

Here are the pros and cons that immediately jump out at me; (please!) feel free to add more pros/cons so others can make better informed votes.

Yes, open an EU server, and lock my account to servers based on IP.

Note: This server would be located in USA.

Pros: This would completely separate NA/EU players, dramatically decreasing the chance of lagging.
Cons: This would completely separate NA/EU players, with no chance of interacting for other modes.

Yes, open an EU server, but don't lock my account to servers based on IP.
Note: This server would be located in USA. I think this one would look like other classic MMOs, where upon login, you choose your server.
Pros: This would allow the players to choose which server to go.
Cons: I'm going to assume your item/collection would only be available on one server, and would have to start anew on the other. Possibility for trolls to cause lag.

No, you should look into region locking certain channels.
Pros: This would allow players to choose which channel to go to, and still interact with other players in other modes.
Cons: Lag will still exist in non-locked channels. This one might be a bit complicated to implement.

No, don't change anything! I love RF just the way it is!

    Pros: Nothing changes.
    Cons: Nothing changes.

He won't, because [GM]Gourdy mentioned that he doesn't see that happening. If he knows if won't happen than what is the point of making a poll option for it? He is trying his best to make an option that could be done by the launch date of the game while also satisfying EU players in the best way.

That's quite simple. If we get our own server the rumors about lag will disappear since will be a split for EU and NA players. The most of it is caused by the fusion of both communities.
By splitting, I mean region block for EU for joining NA and also NA region block for joining EU. The ping with the server won't be a problem if it gonna be located in NA, they will figure out a solution to solve it. The ping shown isn't a problem that will eventually cause lag since the connection is based on peer to peer(p2p).
*If is it so, we will need game masters along with community advisers that they live in Europe to maintain the server/forum on the right way.

2nd option is clearly the most reasonable
If you want to play a decent game you stick to your own server and if you want to occasionally play with your NA combatants with the risk of lag you can open a new account on the opposite server

Like Tides suggested let Europeans choose where to move their main account

Although the possibility of this without any European HQ (i.e GMs,time zone conflict, )in place seems pretty far fetched

It doesn't seem like a change that could be easily implemented within a reasonable time frame.

Voted for the first option. It's how it was on OGP. Going back to that would be better.

Peer to server connection won't solve things for us since the server will be also located on NA, will cause even more lag.

First option would be the best but if you believe there's enough players at moment then go for it.

    Nope
It will work because it's peer-server-peer
Just like how we can connect without lag on Gem Fighter and Japan RF

Eu is not worth the time, they barely have a playerbase. That is why GC stuck Eu with NA.

I would go for Peer to Server or Dedicated server. since im not sure EU community are big enough have their own server.

Correct me if I'm wrong. What's faster, the connection from me to server and back to you and reverse or the connection from me to you and reverse ending back to the server. Figure out, in your case, we are two players who send data to the server at the same time and and also back to us. In my case, we are sending data one to each other, ends with the server and back to us. There is a higher data consumption on the peer to server connection. What if would be speed connection problems with the players? The server is located on NA, would it worth?

Does this mean we will get our own forum or will you make 2 different sections in the same forum? One section for NA and one for EU?

I dont get how people dont understand this but always give input, I guess its because they dont know what they're talking about. That would far and beyond be the best option, the question is basically what do the EU players want more, and not what works best at this point lol

I would assume the content would be very similar if not the same, so a shared forum would be fine. It'd be a wait and see kind of situation, really.

They merged NA with EU because they don't give a **. All they wanted was more money for less work. Simple.
