Boxes need to go. Everything rf has done has been geared towards boxes. It makes money and it works. They even added the mega feature to entice you to open some boxes. Its the "wow, xyz got lucky maybe i will too" mentality. This has prevented and haulted rf from getting any kind of major update, because theyre so focused on the money and couldnt care less about changing the game for the better. And yes, its gambling and i believe they should be called out for encouraging young people to gamble their money away. Its not ethical and is a really shitty business practice. If anyone has a good heart on the dev team, they would have changed by now. However, it is evident that the devs are as bad as they get. Therefore the real problem is the devs, and sadly we cant change if they dont change first.
@Zhire while I partially agree, I don't believe the company is at fault for this. The consumer has the option to buy or not buy, just like any other item. A pack of trading cards, a care package, many things inside enigma products are centered around "random" and "duplicates". Be it anything they *want*, they'll make the decision. I had to learn the hard way. Big thanks to those of you who watched the video, and same to those in the future.
Right, there will always be people who buys into this sht business practice and the rest of us have to suffer. The company is at fault here for even providing us with the OPTION itself. You cant stop people from buying boxes so the only solution is for the company to take action and remove the boxes. This is not a problem we can solve by ourselves.
the problem is that we're talking about a company here, so regardless of they do. as long as they're making a steady amount and/or rise of money then they see no problem what so ever until something major happens to prevent them from making money (like a boycott but those never work for varies reasons and probably never will here) as long as they see boxes as a great way to get more and more money then why bother stopping it right? clearly we're all happy with the lack up major game updates and the constant supply of boxes or else they would of changed the formula up. plus u can argue that boxes here aren't really gambling since you do receive an item in return for the gamble rather than committing and not getting anything at all, which i think is a stupid response but its what let these companies get away with it (plus some other stuff but i would have to research it more in depth if u wanted to know more about it idk) and its why so many mmos contain loot box or gacha like systems
