[Discussion] Why Do You Still Play Rumble Fighter?

I've been playing since... October 2007, which is when I found the game after it's open beta ended. I honestly still play the game simply because I enjoy the game. Sometimes the community is.... not the best, but regardless of that it's fun to just screw around, play some moon, participate in events every now and again, and just chat with people who may or may not be destroying my pixels.

I'll probably stick with the game until it dies or until Final Fantasy XIV, Dark Souls 3, and Fallout 4 engulf my entire being. Whichever occurs first!

Yeah that'd been me recently.

 

This past month has been more fun than all of GC tbh. Im only playing rf right now because i really have nothing to do and want to relax for a bit. It's also a non-cringeworthy childhood game I can still play. I'll probably charge back within the next month or two though because I still find it hard to play. All of my friends are gone or dont really fux with me anymore. Demo and Cove is boring (mostly cove). I also hate the fact that no1 plays anything but Demo, Cove, and Moon.

 

The first move killed rf in a sense. GC Era was kinda cruddy, with all the shady changes of RF kinda put me off. Now with Redfox RF I'm slightly more interested in rf again especially with Gourdy being the first GM that makes appearances forum and in game frequently.

 

Master of Moon Title, Master of Darkness Title ,Harlem King Title and Rares. Other than that i like to chill, play with buddies and guildees. Yeah for me I've started to get bored and play Critical Ops on a tablet or computer.

 

To dress up my characters

 

I play for the nostalgia. I started in 2007, in 6th grade, when I had no worries in the world (haha, back then I thought I was stressing). I log on to relax and take a break from the game called life. I've taken breaks, three to be exact. I was gone for about two years at one point. And every time I've come back for the nostalgia. Another reason I returned was to check out how my friends are doing. Although at this point very few of my friends still play.

You're right, you enter a room and see the same exact players fill the room. I'm getting tired of demoing with the same people every time I log on. I can never truly quit because I've spent too much money to, and I'm not just raining money to just throw it away.

 

Yeah that'd part of the problem for me. The development of the game isn't moving at all but at the same time I've put in a lot of money into the game as well.

 

Redfox is doing more than GC DID

 

Everything takes time plus we have a new host who's trying to know more about th players and game

 

Yeah Gourdy and Redfox are really trying to turn the game around which brings up one of my earlier points. Nimonix is hindering the game from reaching its potential. In the past 3 years how much development has Nimonix done to improve or enhance the game? Besides avalons, absolutely nothing. We've been getting empty promises since OGP. They said more mini-games were coming. It's been almost a year now since the first mini game was released. So are we going to have to wait 5 years for the rest of the mini games?

 

The thing that still keeps me playing is the hope that it might once get good again...
and events like the one for TKD SE and the Hour Time event.
Another thing that keeps me still playing is that the EUs might see a light in the tunnel some day.

 

Lol tbh I've completely forgotten about the EU community. Nothing has been said about the potential server and you dont see many European players on the forums either.

 

Reason I've tried to avoid putting money into this game.
It forces you too keep playing because you don't want to feel like you've waste your $
