Can someone tell me what's the point of revives?

Most of everyone in game won't allow anyone to use it so what is the point?

The fact that everyone used to be salty because only the rich could afford wings back then and most of them used it to gain an unfair advantage. The stigma still lies but the only difference is that they're handed out like candy. It's fun to use wings though, I honestly hate the whole "honor" thing this game wants to show off. This game isn't fun like that, the only thing that keeps me going is training new players (which most quit anyway) and helping my IRL friend get good

 

Point of revive is to revive, cosmetic look, and for stats. Many players ban them though.

Its actually less stressful on everyone and people aren't as salty when everyone in the room has them on but that almost never happens.

 

Refer to one of the videos I posted on this thread, it does happen but rarely and it's fun as hell, you should try it sometime

Exactly man. They're also hypocrites since they think it's okay to equip broken scrolls and exos and say gg like it's better than reviving. Because they claim revive users are scrubs but pull out Combat Teriyaki Chicken w/e that scroll is.

I think revives exist because of the concept of ring-out K.O's.

Not only do they die immediately after they get knocked off the map, but they will also have to wait until the round is over to play again. I think it's by nature, a very cheap kill, and needed to have some sort of balancing for it.

Revives are consumable though, so people who don't have revives is at a disadvantage. I think this is where revives become unwelcome, because there is going to be a point where a player will lack anymore consumable revives; it will be unfair for them to battle people who still have revives.

If revives are purchase-able in shop for carats (and for a cheap price), I think revives can be more welcome in the game. There's not much ways to get them besides getting them from boxes, or through shop (RC exclusive though)

Revives also force people to take off an accessory to wear them, or even get in the way of their fashion. Not like this is a problem for a lot of people, but there are people like that

 

Most common thing I hear about revive hate is because they let you ress from edge kills. I dont get the obsession with edge kills and an item to counter it is so despised. It would be like argueing Saver should be removed because it makes you immune to ground hits when you get up.

 

When you don't use revive, you're starting to gather them.

 

Wish I could resell em I would prolly be rich including my second panic and useless potions
