When you're looking for specific stuff it can take some time to get it. Esp if you don't have gemcores from buying a few in the past. Gemini box wasn't good to me at all but I'd pick it over gemcores in your position depending on how much money you have.

 

I get what you are saying, but at the same time it doesn't create the problem itself, it's just an outlet for it. If someone buys a soft drug, lets say weed, and later on that person gets addicted to it and later tries harder drugs, do you blame the dealer(Nimonix) or the person who got addicted(person who buys boxes)? If you cannot set a limit for yourself, you lack self-control and you need to work on bettering yourself and not waste efforts into running down businesses that exploit that. Sure we can take boxes away, but its just like the

1. Lottery
2. Vending machines
3. Obviously Casinos
4. A very large amount of online games

So everywhere you go your always going to find businesses or people that try to take advantage of your urges. Real life, or RF.

I get it, and its good of you to not want this game to contribute to people's problems. But again, i literally made one purchase of $25 and I told myself I wouldn't go over because it's just a game. Spent $25, got crap items, and i'm not buying another chest because I know it's not worth it.

 

$31 an hour is about 24 dollars, it's not bad at all and I can tell you that I will willingly switch places with this guy because I actually get paid minimum wage and it's not that fun.

Haha it's barely lowkey in the town I live in, i know tons of people with fake papers, used to work wit em. You're right, most the jobs suk, and it's not guaranteed money. If they arent painting houses/construction(which actually do pay decently, but under the table) they are probably working minimum wage jobs or something even shtter then that.

30 an hour? Geez man how old are you? I dont normally knock older people for playing games, but I couldn't see myself playing any PC game like RF if I had a full-time job with decent pay.


Anyways, I've only personally spent about 100-130 total on RF in 9 years. Everything else was through trades and my parents. Now that I'm an adult, I could spend some money on RF, but the game isn't worth it tbh

 

The core of the problem is that with casinos/drugs, culturally we have all been raised to know where they lead. All children basically know that going to a casino is risky in the sense of addiction. The problem is that culturally we are in the small window of time between when businesses have found this practice (boxes, microtransactions/"freemium" games) and when culturally we catch up and this business practice gets the same connotation as a casino does, aka "dangerous". Yeah, you can sound the alarms, but this is a global phenomenon in the gaming world, and I don't think it will really change until we reach enough of the victim cases you were talking about.

Personally, I'm aware of the problem, but I don't really care too much. I have disposable income, and I spend it how I like. Yes, the opportunity cost is arguable but that's the same as everything, you could argue sleeping an extra 4 hours is a waste, just like spending on this game.

Yeah but the game is overwhelmingly p2p now. It was more noob friendly in the past even without free items and scrolls at certain levels. The main reason is because you wouldn't mind earning carats for scrolls and exos. Now the only scrolls worth getting are rc for the exception of a few items.

only idiots would let a price of a box on a video game ruin there lifes. if you go broke because you spent all your money on this game then your stupid and dont know how to handle money in the first place. theres something called a budget. use it. my budget is 30$ to 60$ on boxes depending on how bad i want something perm out of the box and how much money i have. if i dont get what i want ill stop and wait a little while and buy some more boxes at a later time.

Bad troll, last time i checked US minimum wage was 7-8 dollars, so as a matter of fact, 31 dollars in the us is a huge deal.
Unless you didn't go to school, house costs and property costs are significantly cheaper in the states compared to canada, an average house here is 800,000$. In the states? typically 200. I responded purposely knowing you were baiting by the way.
