Every creator, regardless of whether they won the contest or not, should have unconditional love for their creation. Even if it means being the only one to stand by their idea. It doesn't matter. The fact remains: it is your idea. No one can ever take that away from you.

Indeed. That last part was aimed at the many creators who put effort in their suggestions, only to either lose the contest or have their ideas criticised by others. The message, simply put, was to not think any less of your work based on what those around you think or say.
