about an hour or so left (till launch)

ill be creating a brand new account and trying to create rooms in the beginner channel for the all newbies to join and play. im really hoping that all the new players feel welcome and have fun while playing.

but until then im getting butterflies in my stomach about launch. we desperately need new events and i dont see any patch notes or anything as of yet. are they even planning on newbie events?!

 

But if you create a brand new account, and if you're good , you'll just be seal-clubbing. If they wanna play with the vets there is Free Channel.

I logged in just fine through steam, although steam won't acknowledge that you're playing the game after it's launched.

 

was the launcher in english? plus do you get this screen after the launcher still?

 

Everything was in English and I didn't get that screen after using steam, no.

I don't think there will be that many new players off top. Maybe eventually, but I feel like people gassin up the steam launch. Still a good move but, I doubt that there will be waves of people coming in.

It's more convenient I guess. It skips the rumble launcher log-in screen if you use Steam

I pretty much joined Steam just to participate in the RuF Steam forum

 

For anyone having a problem with "Specified argument was out of range of valid values; Parameter name: i", I managed to work around it. Hopefully it works for some others too.

All I did was mess around and try a few things using common sense;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RumbleFighter ---> RFstl.exe ---> Run as Administrator

After the Windows Security Confirmation pop up, it will return with "Steamworks not initialized." Try running RF:U normally through Steam again by clicking the play button in your library or the store page.
Even though it will boot, log in and play through Steam, it seems to not be recognized as active. This means it does not show up as "[your display name] is playing Ruble Fighter: Unleashed" on your profile or friends list, does not turn the outline of your avatar to green denoting you are playing, does not log play time on your profile, and the Steam Overlay will not be usable.

Remember that if nothing else works you can always use the original launcher, which is also in the same directory above. Just run "RumbleLauncher.exe".
