Most of this list is giving glory to persistant unskilled players.

Many of these were just fillers, gatekeepers or "randoms said they are this good" and placed high on TOP 20 lists.

That or, Well just played when the higher skilled players went inactive.

Also players such as Autumn, were good in like 2008 when mechanics were extremely simple and scrolls had 2-3 combos with 1 you would actually use. Countering was a joke, Slide kicking was like the ultimate "PRO TACTIC".

Many old gens pre-2009 fell off and were **** when it became more complexe.

Depends what you mean. The biggest changes are the options to counter-play the classic style of pressure due to:
-Jump punch being less powerful and one sided for user
    -Recovery roll
    -Saver

Scrolls also gained the mechanic of Ground hits, some scrolls have multiple launcher/hits after launcher and so on but that doesn't make them all that more complexe. Shoot boxing is damn near one of the most perfect scrolls in the game, ZinTKD is still one of the damn most strongest scrolls if used correctly, zin karate still probably the most OP in the game.

The biggest factor as mentioned was, knocking other players down was such a strong feat because they could only slightly move to a specific side, get up while blocking or recovery kick.
