When will this game start advertising? Just wondering...

Simple YouTube advertisements and some hype like blade and soul would make it really known, but would they stay is the question

 

Yeah, they should use the popup ad that was used in 07 or something.. At least to get a few players in, but it wouldn't even stay for that long because to advertise for a month, its like $1000+ not sure tho

They need to fix the various glitches that cause disconnection/failure to load, give new players timed items and clothes ranging from 30-90 day variations in order with the reestablishment/enforcement of the matchmaking system (I.e automatically put into amateur/professional channels based off KDR and level) for them to get accommodated with the game

But will that happen under current developer management? Doesn't look like it so no point of advertising when they won't stay

I'd love to see the game grow but still its all on Nimonix.
They hold the game back.

 

Even if they were to advertise more, do you really think new players would stay? Look at it for a new players perspective, you go into a room with the beginner stuff against attack booster, thunder blades, shoot boxing, red rock, muay boran, etc. would you want to stay??? I mean really

 

@Queen Players can't be held accountable though. Those items are purchased with cash or traded. New players can do the same if they find the gameplay fun, especially new players with cash. New players back in the day had little to nothing in their early days compared to what new players are rewarded with now. What you should have questioned is, "Will new players invest money into this game to get even with other players?" The answer is no.

 

That's very true, nowadays you get some pretty good permanent stuff as a beginner. I still remember grinding back in the day just to get the heavens fist exo, was crazy rewarding tho.

 

i don't think they should advertise.

let's say money was spent for advertisements, sure i guess it'll attract new players but lets face it, they probably wouldn't stay and actually spend money. so in the end, they would just waste money and lose profit

 

No revenue is lost, only profit.

 

You can't deny the game is very beginner unfriendly, between the obvious skill gap, and the long ass time it takes to buy a worthwhile scroll or exo from the shop.


Compared to other Arena Brawler mmos like Getamped2, where a beginning player has a very large, steady flow of in game currency to buy lots of stuff, or even Lost Saga has a decent enough income flow.

RF is not so generous.

"Just cash out immediately" shouldn't be the answer.

OT: get the youtube advertisements back, that's how I found out about RF.

Looking at the state the game is now, i don't think it'll be the best time to advertise. Sure, we might get an influx of many new players, but how many do you think are gonna stay? Nimonix needs to iron out some of the existing problems of this game first if they want to make the most out of investing in some ads for this game.

 

Doesn't have to be YouTube necessarily ya know. Me and my bro was on twoplayergames.org and he foud a link to sd gundam capsule fighter etc.. found rf through the ogp launcher.
My main point they should target gaming websites with a low audience then go after something like youtube ads.

yes and no
yes because new players would help the community a ton and possibly add variety back to the games made so its not just moon,cove,risky,and third/dos
no because new players means new complaints we've heard years upon years
new hackers (yes the larger the community the more hackers in it )
this would also require more gm's rf is a small community game usually only having 1-2k on a day the most was a peak around 6k back when it was still new
as of current 1 gm can run the game with some struggle but still possible
if we gain say.. 3k players out of ads thatd be good but also bad because it would require more gm's or possibly cause the whole rm thing to come back wich we all know was a crap idea
