IF RF gets released on steam, there will be probably be a large-ish influx of new players that, I think, could be put off by 2 things 1) getting crushed by players who have been playing for a long time. 2) steep learning curve ( + no game mechanic resource) some suggestions 1) this could be mitigated if they make channel restrictions based on level + free channel. This way, newer players would be playing amongst themselves for a little while before being thrown to the sharks 2) also, a more in-depth resource for game mechanics would help tremendously with new players' learning curve by helping them to not be completely ignorant of game mechanics. Access to knowledge >> goals to improve + less frustration >> less new player turn over
True but, before you start making a guide for "Starting Players" lets hope to get on steam in the first place. Then you can make a post that hasn't been repeated over 100 times. Though repetitive you like a lot of people have good insight of good things to come if we make a successful trip to steam.
Those channel restrictions would need a revamp because some players will make smuf accounts just to mess with new players.
