Black Dragon's origins and why its awesome

This scroll is based on one of the most challenging arcade boss of the 90s; Goenitz. A lot of people are trying to say its a Cyclone copy when in reality the two scrolls flow at totally different paces and share ONE move; a kG grab that isnt even the exact same animation. Also if you look at the Cyclone player suggestion its hard not to notice it's primarily based on Benimaru.

Why does it have animations from Eagle Claw RE then? Mature (Eagle Claw's base character) was one of Goenitz's underlings.

Stop hating and just enjoy the FGC cameos.

Name another scroll that PLAYS like Black Dragon. Go on I'll wait.

 

Oh, that explains why it's so powerful. It's pretty much a Boss Scroll.
Can't wait to see an Event Mode boss using the Black Dragon scroll + exocore with infinite super armor, ha ha. It'd be easier than that stupid Pirate boss who spams the Boxing SE dodge moves at least.

 

Its poor angling tho keeps it in mid A tier at most, it just has crazy punish potential.

What poor angling?

 

It appears to have a handful of straight attacks.

 

I can agree with this. The only attack that is safe and can be angled near an edge is the KKP launcher,

Any other attack will either miss or cause you to fall off the map.

 

Ooooh. Near ledges. See, I've been able to hit with every combo's last hit angled left and angled right (except the PPKKP due to the nature of that move) perfectly fine from the center of my opponent in the middle of the middle platform on Moon. Near ledges, yes, the movement moves you too far to land them because you fall off, except for the PPP one which travels down ledges.

Speaking of ledge traveling, the middle of the PPKPPP and PPKKP combos can travel down ledges.
KKP and KP can easily do a Ledge Skip, although I'm not sure the KP's last hit will actually connect down the ledge since the black special effect remains in the air.

 

this is not new content. you said it is new content and it isnt. you might as well compare it to rearranging 1 2 3 4 5 to 1 5 4 2 3. Its the same thing but in a different order with other animations just added onto it. No new content

Do you even play other fighting games...? Thats literally what they ALL do.

Also since you wanna be anal about this the 2nd punch, PPKP (is also the 1st kick), the 2nd kick, the hop back attack, the kG, the kG and grabs throwing animations are all new and not recycled.

 

Scroll feels pretty unique while having shared traits.

Its combo patterns and results are unique. It has the movement properties and angles of several scrolls. Some animations feel exactly like Cyclone/Tempest/EagleClaw.

The scroll is loaded with tools and mix up, In a way it has potential by being a swiss knife. But it doesn't have a "Work hard play hard" potential. Its advance is situational and unexistant, everything is predictable and can be waited out. In the end its somewhat very close to fighting Cyclone/Tempest, Its a high tier scroll but ultimately it plays around its features and Cz being a unique grab.

You´re wrong! It´s not recycled, it´s a refurbished scroll.
Do you have any idea how much time it took to be made? 5-10 minutes that´s 300 seconds.
So please show some respect for this master piece.
