Just got back to game, all the abilities are gone, ones i had are changed. bought all skills, but when i tried to grind, my VE was gone before i could even make a kill. What's gameplan now? Def smashes are gone aswell? What role is the easiest to play now?

You will want to get VE leech from clothes. In the beginning, you can farm CoF and VoH dungeons for the set clothes and upgrade the to Superior versions for the life/VE leech. With sufficient DMG, you should be able to sustain your grinds indefinitely. Once you get to CS, you can switch over to GCM/BT noble clothes with higher life/VE leech. It actually depends on your preferred playstyle. If you do not want to invest time in training too many buffs, you can always stick with warriors. But if you like better sustainability, you can pick a hybrid or healer for their VE heals. Hybrids strike a balance between melee and CK, and some useful self only buffs. Healers have very good buffs and traps, but there are plenty to train and can be time intensive if you want a really effective character. They are always essential for boss hunting at higher levels.

Shards drop from boss on green and red runs. use shards to craft the beads. Sadly green run mob lvls now since revamp is a lot higher, 140-160 in VoH. If you find a nice band or ask the right person they might give you one or some money to buy one.
