Agree but would make a bit of a mess in the community since EU isn't really online at 6 pm PST or w/e OGP used to held them. Same for 6 pm GMT. NA people haven't got home from work or school yet.
Perhaps limit it to once every two weeks at first, to sort of ease into the process. It would also help if, instead of players making the rooms and then the GMs move from room to room, and you have to pray one gets in your room instead of having some random person join your 7/8 throwdown room and then proceed to not leave / try to get others to leave / not know what a throwdown is, you could just have the GMs make passworded rooms, people enter, play a round, the GM writes their names down, then proceeds to kick them after he's got their name, and then signals for more people to join once the room is empty and/or hasn't filled back up. This might be a bit better at giving people an actual chance to participate. :3
I am a fan of them. They were a great way for staff to interact with the players. Not to mention they're very enjoyable for players who have yet to meet a GM (which is 100% of the community, currently).
It wasn't favoritism, they said if you had sportsmanship it would give you a higher chance in the random raffle to win the prize.
Then you weren't in the inner circle. My buds were getting prizes without ever being online during the throwdowns.
