    All the Character Stats

Before starting this guide you have to read that part of the guide. This is the list of each stat you may find in game. First there is the attributes which are the 5 stat where you distribute point at each level and build you char. Then you have all the stat detail, what they do and where are the guide if you need more details.

    The attributes

    Strength
Your Strength score is an indication of how physically strong you are as a character.
Your Strength determines your physical attack, defence and balance when performing Kung Fu.
Strength is also a determining factor in the weapons you can use. You cannot do much damage with a sword if you are too weak to lift it.

    Essence
Essence is the culmination of your Chi and is a determining factor of your level of Vital Energy.
The more Vital Energy you have the longer you can execute your Kung Fu and Chi Kung techniques before reaching exhaustion. Once you have depleted your Vital Energy, you will become as weak as a kitten. You must meditate to revitalize your Vital Energy.

    Wisdom
Wisdom is the culmination of your intellectual abilities and effects how well you learn lessons.
A high degree of Wisdom grants a higher Balance, Attack Power, Chi Kung Damage and Dodge, because of your greater comprehension in all your techniques.

    Constitution
Constitution is a measure of how healthy, robust and durable you are. A person with a robust Constitution can cope with a great deal more damage than a lesser being.
Your constitution level is a determining factor of your Maximum Life Score.
The higher your constitution the higher your Maximum Life Score and the greater your ability to recover from damage received.

    Dexterity
Dexterity is the level of speed and agility you can utilize to carry out complex Kung Fu techniques.
A highly dexterous person has a greater success rate to both Attack with and Dodge physical attacks. It also increases one's chance of making a Critical Hit against an opponent.

    The stats and their effect
    Life
The most precious gift you have is your own Life, cherish it!
Your Life is depicted by the Red Bar on-screen. If your Red Bar reaches zero points then you will die.
Every character's amount of Maximum Life is different, and is dependent on many factors, from how you disperse your Chi Points to special healing ornaments you may carry with you. Constitution is the strongest critical statistic that effects the amount of a character's Maximum Life. Points deducted against your Maximum Life from External Wounds will reduce Maximum Life replenishment during meditation, but may be healed with special herbs or by consulting a doctor at a nearby clinic.

    Vital Energy
Vital Energy is internal energy, also called "Chi" that you gather into your body from the world around you, and from all living things, that you can summon and use to energize your abilities. You need Vital Energy to be able to perform most Kung Fu (physical attack) and Chi Kung (Energy attack) techniques. Martial Arts Masters have been known to use their great reserves of Vital Energy to perform what can only be described as superhuman feats.
The more complex the Kung Fu or Chi Kung technique, the more Vital Energy it takes to perform it and the more damage (or healing) that it can inflict.
Unlike Life, Vital Energy does not replenish itself over time. To recover your Vital Energy you need to meditate and reconnect yourself to The Land.

    Damage
The damage allow you to remove life to other players or monster. There are multiple way to increase you damage, the more basic one is use attribute but there is also other ways. There are 2 kind of damage Chi Kung and Physical.

Example of damage display on you char : 15567~24007
15567 is the minimum damage, 24007 is the maximum damage. The damage you deal will be randomly distributed between these 2 numbers. Of course that won't be the exact value since there is a lot of other factor such as defence, critical rate... that change damage.

Here is the list of stat that boost the damage in game and that you may find on clothes, relic, ornament and weapon. These boost always apply to the basic damage from strength stat !
    • - Increase maximum damage weapon by X%. (so only red number are increased depending on you weapon, this only apply to weapon damage the refine lvl doesn't change it)
      - Increase minimum damage weapon by X%. (so only blue number are increased depending on you weapon, this only apply to weapon damage the refine level doesn't change it)
      - Increase damage by X%. (it only increase the damage you got from strength)
      - Increase damage by X% on critical hit. (This only working on the critical hit and apply to critical damage)
      - Increase damage by X. (This directly increase you damage by a certain number, like for example the pill that increase damage by 1000.) (
    Defence
Defence allow you to decrease the damage received, the more you have the better you decrease damage.
There are 2 kind of defence : Chi Kung and Physical.

    Attack Ratting
This stat allow you to attack player or mobs. If you do have a too low Attack Ratting then you will always miss you hit. This must be has high has possible to be able to attack player that got a high amount of dodge.
There are 2 kind of attack ratting : Chi Kung and Physical.

    Dodge
So this is the opposite stat of Attack ratting, dodge allow you to dodge hit from mobs or other players. There are 2 kind of defence : Chi Kung and Physical.

    Balance (Also called accuracy)
There are only phew way to increase this stat but it's so much important. Balance is linked to damage as we previously said there is an example of damage : 15567~24007
The more you have balance the more you will do maximum damage (red one).
Balance is on you weapon, weapon ornament, weapon bonus stat and healer party buff.

    Critical Rate
Critical rate is linked to the damage you do. In fact it's the red number when you hit a player or a mob. this means you have done a critical damage. Critical damage is the higher damage you can do. It is better to max this as fast as possible so you will deal all maximum damage and even more.

    Movement Speed
In 9Dragons, movement speed is only linked to you walk speed. When you move you char with mouse by clicking on the floor. It is very good to fast move from one mobs to another while you grind (faster grind). It is more important in PvP. When you want to catch a player fast or when you need to exit from a battle fast hehe...

    Critical Dodge Rate
Critical dodge rate, this allow you to dodge the critical hit from other player, it is very important in PvP. But less in PvE since mobs deal only phew critical hit.
    .
Critical rate is often display like this : 1000/10000 this means you will do 1000 critical hit on 10000 hits so that means 9000 hit will be normal hit. Of course goal is have 10000/10000.
The critical hits and normal hit will be randomly distributed on all you hit you do.

    External/Internal Wounds
The wounds are something you have to heal. They apply to you Life barre for External Wounds and to you Vital Energy barre for Internal Wounds.
If you have wounds you won't be able to recover life or vital energy. To heal this you have 2 ways, wounds pills or wounds heal from healer.

    Block Rate
Block rate allow you to block attack which means you will not receive any damage from you opponent attack. It is very good for PvP and that's the reason why you won't find a lot of item with that stat.

Yin, Yang, Body and Soul damage
This is a special damage which has absolutely no link with defence and normal damage. It go trough all normal stats read the elemental damage guide for more details.

Yin, Yang, Body and Soul Resistance
This is a special defence which has absolutely no link with defence and normal damage. It is related to element damage read the elemental damage guide for more details.

Locate you Stats windows and Attribute distribution

    The character window

The following screenshot present you the character window. You can open it with "C" key from keyboard.

At the right of the window you have the char attributes such as Strength, essence, wisdom, constitution and dexterity.
The purple square give you the number of chi point you need to increase the stat by one, you see some require only one other 2. See the next post for more details.
The Red square is the window for chi point, in that example i just level so I got 4 chi point to distribute.
The Yellow square are the + that allow you to distribute chi on some attribute, if the + is light grey you can't distribute chi. A new windows will appear if you press "+", in this window you will be able to enter the amount of point you want to distribute to the attribute:

    4.jpg

The light blue arrow show you the stat number. They may have some different colour. Also there is some yellow number with a +. this are elixir see next topic for more details.

    Colour of Attributes

When we have only the stats from chi points we see the called Stats Base in white numbers, these stats are same than you can see in your selection character screen.

When we have increased the stats with relics, accessories, cavity press or with buff we'll see them in green.

Certain items can decrease some stats, also some bosses debuff you decreasing your stats, when your stats get lower value than the stats base you will see them in red.

We must have this in mind because when any weapon, relic or any other stuff need certain number of stats, this requirement is related about to stats base (white numbers), not the total stats you can see in green or red.

    The stats

Each time you use a chi point for an attribute, the stat will change and be updated. You can find almost all the stat at the left of the window. See the yellow square on the next pictures :

As you see it is missing some compare to what I have present in the previous topic.
The Critical Rate / critical dodge rate / balance or accuracy are not here, you will have to check by yourself the number with all you gear and epithet.

    Levelling and get Chi Point

So this guide is about chi point to distribute and how it is working. First you have to know how to boost chi point then i will explain what each stat point do.

    The First Chi Points

When you first start the game you have 8 Chi Point in each attribute that can't be removed or changed. Then you also have 10 chi point to distribute at level 0.

    Chi point from levelling

    • Level up: Each time you level up you have 4 Chi point to distribute. There is also special level each 12 level that does require Chi Breathing and will give you 6 chi points.

    • Chi Breathing: Each Cheng Achievement Level consists of 12 Cheng sub-levels. At each new Cheng Achievement Level you will need to learn a new Chi Breathing Technique before you can advance to the next level.
This increase in your Chi circulation will allow you to learn newer, stronger techniques. When you have advanced the full 12 levels of a Cheng (meaning that once you've reached level 12 and gained one more meter), a prompt to learn the next Chi Breathing technique will appear before you.

When you accept this prompt, a Chi breathing mini-game will begin. If you complete the mini-game with minimal errors and within the allotted time limit you will advance, if not, you will be given another opportunity soon-after. Know also that those who complete the training faster will be rewarded with extra Chi. (Experience.)

You may receive deadly wounds if you are attacked during Chi Breathing, so please make sure you are in a safe location before accepting the prompt.

Chi point with level list: at the end we can conclude with the following table of chi point from level.
So as example if you are Five Dragon 5 you will have 280 chi point to distribute.

    Chi point from accessories

You can also boost you chi point using accessories such as relic, clothes, weapon, ornament,.... See all the other guide for more details.

    Chi point from Buff

Healers and Hybrids have buff skills; with them they can increase their own stats or the stats of other players. How much increase your stats the buff skill depend on the Cheng (level) of the skill and the role of the buffer.

The principal difference between the buff skills of healers and hybrid are:
    • Healers has 3 selective buff skills (Strength/Dexterity; Constitution/Essence; Wisdom) while Hybrids has one only skill for all stats.
    • When the skill is at the maximum cheng (Cheng 12) Healers can increase by 31 the stats while Hybrids can increase by 19.
When you are buffed while you had a previous buff, only the higher buff will keep in your character.

By this way, if a Healer (or Hybrid) buffs you and, some time later, other Healer (or Hybrid) buffs you with lower Cheng Skill, you will keep the remaining time and increase stats of the first buff.
But when the second buff is same or higher Cheng (level) than the previous one, the new buff replaces the old one

If a healer and a hybrid buff you the effect of both buffs will be added
When you have been buffed you will see different icons in the left upper side of your screen
........ .Healer ............... Hybrid ................ Both at time
    ..o[IMG] stg/[IMG] hkgvpn[IMG] g

    Chi point from Cavity Press

You can buy from hermits (by 5000 gold) this kind of buff : each one increase by 5 in one attribute, and you only can use one each time.
Once you have bought it the effect will stand during 30 minutes.

    Element Damage
As you all know special damage is very important in PvP so if you want think about it you need to know all the way to get those damage or to boost your resistance for those damage. That's why I have listed things here, and how I think they work.
    Special Damage description

    Each damage name:

So first thing to know is how work this damage ?

Simple: you get 200 yin (or Yang or Body or Soul) damage if the mob against you don't have any resistance for this damage you take him 200 from his life. Defence don't work on those damage !
In the case of PvP it's the same way but damage are nerved like every stuff in PvP. Also shield don't work against these damage (only some that are element damage shield). Also there is a special relation between damage:

The damage will depends on mobs elemnt type. For example if you fight against a Yin mob like tibet first part and you use 1000 damage Yin pill you will do 1000 more damage. But if you use 1000 Yang damage pill you will do 2000 more damage on these mobs !

How can I get those damage ?

Weapon Ornament: You can bind on weapon some ornament, the betters one give 300 special damage (Yin, Yang, Body or Soul)

Warrior Buff: This Buff give 400 Yin and 400 Yang damage at Cheng 10. You can get one from each clan so that's mean there is 6 kind of those buff.

Nuker Buff: This buff give 400 Body and 400 Soul damage at Cheng 10. You can get one from each clan so that's mean there is 6 kind of those buff.

Weapon/Relic Stats: Special stat from traded weapon or sealed combination relic (see weapon trad guide for more details), you can have up to:
    • Yin damage +1% to 12%
    • Yang damage +1% to 12%
    • Soul damage +1% to 12%
    • Body damage +1% to 12%
Element Damage pill at Hefei NPC: You can find these pills in Hefei with the Yin-Yang resistance NPC. Here a screen with the NPC and the collection in resource:
The maximum pill give 1000 damage of 1 element. Each kind of pill are listed in the resource tab.

    Resistance for those damages:

You can get as much as resistance you want, the more you have the better you are protected. The resistance don't work like damage. So all resistance is the better boost :)
Try to get the maximum of resistance you can to reduce damage from special monster or other player. There isn't any cap for resistance.

Resistance wardrobe ornament: the perfect ornament give you 15% yin, yang, body or soul resistance. You can only put them on deco !

    Resistance from clan mastery:
    • Shaolin : 10% Soul.
    • Wu-Tang : 5% Yin 5% Yang.
    • Beggar : 10% Body.
    • Brotherhood : 10% Body.
    • Flower : 10% Yin.
    • Demon : 10% Yang.
Resistance From Hat: 10/20/30% on all resistance. (You can get that hat from the black market in the 3th lvl from the Cave of the Conqueror)
40% hat from the Tibet collection. (Need Hermit 4 level to use it)

Resistance From Conqueror Cave Set: 15% on all resistance. To get 15% on all resistance you need to have the full set on your character. You can drop those clothes on the Wu-Tang mobs at the begun of CC2.)

Resistance from Healer buff: 35% Yin and Soul. You can get one from each clan so that's mean there is 6 kind of those buff. If you are in party with a healer he can give a special buff that give more Yin and Soul resistance.

Shield from Nuke: Nuker got one Yang shield that absorb 1950 Yang attribute damage for 30 seconds.

Resistance From Pill and Relic on Hefei NPC: You can find the pill in Hefei on Yin-Yang resistance trainer. The maximum for pill is 75% resistance on 1 kind of damage. You will be able to trad them for some Golden Thread. You can also find some relics that give you up to 15% resistance on 1 kind of damage Every kind of pill and relic can be found in Hefei tab from resource; here a screen with the resource tab near the NPC:

Resistance From Relic: You can have a boost of 20% resistance from that relic:

It is also possible to upgrade that relic with assemble system in Hefei, the relic become even more powerful.
The sealed combination system allow you also to upgrade any of the relic and get some resistance stats.

The special damage visualisation with mobs, boss and other player :

Some mobs and boss with have a special damage attribute. This is the case of 1rst Tibet part mobs and also in superior dungeon (see superior dungeon guide for more details.)
So it will be useful to get some special damage resistance for PvE also.
Colour to find each element damage easy:

Can someone confirm dealing same elemental damage as monster elemental type/damage deals 100% damage to that monster?
If i deal 1000 Yin damage to Blue mob - will i do 1000 damage? Or 0 damage?
