After the new patch (class balancing ) there have been many complaints in the forum regarding the VE (vital energy). I tested some of the complaints. For high level players the VE it is not a problem, but for low it is.

In 9Dragons Awaken, Vital Energy is used for virtually everything a player does. Attacking a mob with an active skill, using the Lightfoot technique, using passive abilities (meditation and steps), using Chi Kung attacks, using heal skills, and using buffs all consume VE per use.

When a player has no VE left, they are left at a severe disadvantage because they can no longer use any skills or abilities.

There are currently four ways a player can regain VE :

    -By meditating.
    -By staying in Peace Mode.
-Healer/ hybrid use the VE heal technique.
-VE recovery item, such as an ethereal mushroom/ pills.

At low level (1st role) the rate of consuming VE for skill training or grinding is very high due the fact you don't have proper items, clothes and so on. Don't panic with time and level you will get better. Hybrids and healer can use their own buffs to add VE, but even so, at low level, the rate of consuming VE to train skills is still high.

At first role to help you grind you can use :

    - VE pills (dmg or heal 30 % ) / can be bought at auction house in Hefei or Tibet second village (with loyalty points, can also drop in coc boxes or from IM (RedFod Marketplace). If you have a friend in game or guild he may have them or get them for you, so ask him. When you level you can give them back or help another low level.
    - VE epithet ( like 15- 20 kk ). If you don't have money drop it or ask in guild.
    - Own buffs ( hybrid/healer).
    - Healer buffs & help from a healer.
    - You can get in game pills (+ attributes ) and elixirs to higher your VE.

In worst case scenario you have to meditate.

One of the biggest VE consumer at low level is meditation skill. If you turn it on at low level, the VE will drop considerably. Second is the step. so when you grind avoid to be activated.

Once you grow in level you can start make dungeouns and get VE leech clothes. At low level you can start with COF & VOH upgraded set, than at second role you will get a clan set and than the FC one and so on. In time you will get better.

The players that don't have VE problems at low levels are using their main account relics, so with better relics & weapon at low level you will not have any problem with the VE, in fact you are a ' Super Newby'.

    Thanks for the guide Sedbona.

To add on, ve recovery item can also include ve leech gear (like VoH/GCM gear) / relics / ve panacea etc.

Another good point to note is that eventhough the actives are available to us for use at lower levels, we dont 'have' to actually use that active until we feel we can sustain the VE consumption for it.

On lower levels up to at least FC, our damage comes mostly from our Young/Jade/Black/True Dragon quest weapon upgrades (from Zhang Zhong, Mountain Uprooter quest from Bamboo Village). A viable alternative for sustainable grinding without pill-popping or blowing a hole in your pocket could be to use a lower ve consumption active such as the GC7 Basic Clan active until one gets better gear/relics that can help regen ve.

Hello. Just one question... For using the skill Black Tortoise's Scale, it requests a Incense Meditation. What is it?
I have a White Tiger RL8 and the VE is really a problem in the moment (killing 3 mobs and meditating to recover the VE).

Like Manaphon mentioned, you have to go to a General Store in any map and purchase "Incense of Peach"
(or the cheaper Incense items work too, but the duration on them are shorter)
