(August 21st, 2018) [UPDATE] This issue is affecting players again trying to update the new GameGuard files. (August 17th, 2018) [RESOLVED] As of 12:45PM PDT, the issue should be resolved. (April 2nd, 2018) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was an update to GameGuard last night at around 8-9PM PDT. However, there has been an issue where it simply does not patch and in return, launches a webpage on your browser to nProtect's site (GameGuard). The error displays the following message : Fail to complete GameGuard update, Suspend Anti-Virus program temporarily and try the game, or check the settings of PC management programs if any. The only fixes to the problem are : "Change" your current IP address (By going onto your mobile hotspot, changing VPN servers [if applicable] or just your regular IP address at home) Reinstalling the game (Try method 3 first) Grab a free VPN like Tunnelbear OR Windscribe to "change" your IP address temporarily. At the moment, having someone give you the updated GameGuard does not seem to fix the issue, and is 90% not affected by your anti-virus. This issue has been forwarded to RedFox.
We think we have fixed the issue based on internal testing. Please restart Rumble Fighter. Thank you @Starberry for this temporary thread.
Also receiving this. Changed IP, re downloaded, nothing. and it came out of nowhere after i dc'd today.
There were new updates for GameGuard pushed out again. If you haven't already done so, temporarily hop on a VPN and try updating GameGuard again. I had the same issue earlier last night and fixed it by doing the previously mentioned steps.
Try the VPN method first. Any free one will do - like TunnelBear. This temporarily "changes" your IP which may in return let it install the new GameGuard files.
I had this error for the first time today. I can confirm the VPN method does work and after the Gameguard successfully updates you will no longer need it.
