If you didn't already know, another fighting game from the past named Zone 4 made its return, but this time it's on Steam, a feat Rumble Fighter has yet to accomplish even though they said it was on Steam Greenlight since 2014. So far it's gotten generally mixed reviews on steam. If you think the game is great, then great. If you think it's garbo then that's fine too it doesn't affect me. This thread isn't an advertisement nor is it gonna be about how much I like or dislike Zone 4, but rather what I like about Zone 4 that's lacking in Rumble Fighter. #1: Graphics. Graphics... graphics sell a game. Chances are when someone stops by to check out a game, if it has bad graphics, that potential player won't stick around. Rumble Fighter came out in 2007 for NA, which is around the same time that the PS3 and XBOX 360 consoles came out. Both of those consoles were 720p. It's now 2016 and now we have the XBOX ONE, PS4 and coming soon the Nintendo Switch. All of those consoles can do 1080p and are gonna even have some 4k capabilities. For 9 (10 if you count GEM) years the graphics of this game have hardly changed. We don't even have options to increase the resolution. The highest settings we get are 768p or something funky like that. On top of that, the textures for a lot of clothes, ExoCores, and stages are on par with a low-res wallpaper from Windows XP. On a sidenote, it'd be great if we can get some legitimate 16:9 art and not recycled Garbo renders that were made in MS Paint Zone 4 has graphics settings for resolution, screen size, and sampling as seen in the provided image. #2: NPCS On top of the fact that Zone 4 loads you directly into its plaza or 'Square' instead of taking you to the lobby screen like how Rumble Fighter does, Zone 4 also has actual NPCs in its plaza. These NPCS can take you to a battle mode or provide in-game shop services for you. Rumble Fighter's plaza is just here for aesthetic purposes. Frankly NimoniX just wasted their time making plaza when they could have focused on more important issues. Plaza can be made useful by adding some more NPCS, and by that I don't mean that one that takes you to those trash minigames. Get some NPCS that can sell you things or give you special gear. #3: Fitting Music Needless to say most of us here mute Rumble Fighter's music because it is garbage and we play our own tunes instead. Seriously, Rumble Fighter's music is so ear-deafeningly bad. It's not even appropriate for a fighting game. Listen to this: And then listen to this: And tell yourself which one of these soundtracks is thematically appropriate for its game. NimoniX, get somebody that knows how to make good music. #4: Trading/Exchange In Zone 4, you can exchange or trade items with another player by right-clicking on them and then clicking on "Exchange", as shown in the provided picture: Another way to make Rumble Fighter's Plaza useful instead of having it be a complete waste of true and human art is to implement this feature into the plaza. You can already right click on players in the plaza to check out their info or to add them as a friend. Just add an additional option to trade with this player when trading becomes a feature in the game. Those are just a few of my thoughts. You guys can list your own here if you'd like.
thought my eyes deceived me, but if zone 4 is on steam then I'm already on my way to it. lol next is la tale and then lost saga!
Zone4 is trash. RF is better. Because i cared about rf's styles i dont care about music, plaza, and shitty. You cant ******* compare that shitty game.
I remember that game; didn't really like it. Also, these aren't necessarily tips rf can take from zone 4, they're just basic features this game lacks lol
