I don't think they're the problem, you just need to learn to anticipate them, and/or position yourself so that you can defend against them better, even when a player appears out of nowhere and starts mashing the button for berserker's aoe skill, you'll be better prepared because you anticipated it. There's always a way to counter everything. (except Sage Master attacks)

Ot : no one mentioned beserker's dash kick that puts them at the ideal range for sword attacks while they are just far enough that regular punches and kicks might whiff you

 

You're only adding to my point. There's more room for outplaying with the examples you have given. Literally, just block on both accounts and you can punish the two examples on block. Their nerfed increased the cool downs on both examples so they can't just spam it or run away, allowing for punish on block.

If you want to talk about "AoE" being unfair, you can argue literally every ExoCore skill that's not a single target attack. We're getting into semantics and your definitions are vague and for the most part undefined. Give your definition of overpowered and what you considered balanced then come back, otherwise you're opening a new discussion that you don't seem willing to take part in.

Not really, What you pointed out is the defensive person predicting whether or not they're going to use the skill.
I'm talking about the AOE and the fact that the hurtbox starts on frame 1 and an added bonus for that would be the invincibility frames also starting on frame 1. You can't react to it, you can only predict and the AOE only makes it that much more devastating.

Your scenario, you're talking about cheesing. My scenario is the ExoCore itself in general is not broken and there's a lot of counter-play involved.

Yes, in your specific scenario, even the likes of Metatron's KG-P is "overpowered" and "simply broken", but there's countermeasures and easy punish games on block. The whole game is based on a mixture of reactions and predictions, but to simply call an ExoCore "broken" because it has the ability to cheese is a bit far fetched. This is why you don't see many people using Bezerker and only those annoying weirdos who are always in a running position play Red Rock now.

Don't get me wrong, Bezerker ExoCore is very strong and Red Rock is cheese master 5000, but they require specific situations and set up for their strengths to shine. They're not overpowered on their own accord.
