Forum Sections needs to be established early

Now that the game is transferring here I think this would be the perfect time to establish more forum columns and expand the forums even more. This is also a good opportunity to add new sections that weren't added before or simply wasn't even thought of. If these forums could be established early on it would prove to be a lot more beneficial to redfox in the long run considering that this game has a heavy forum base.

But not to get off topic, some examples of the sections could possibly be...
(not including sections already established)

=Suggestions (A section for players to create user made content for the game)
-Scrolls
-Exocores
-Clothing
-Maps
-Modes
-Miscellaneous (Anything that doesnt fit in the other categories)

=Creative section(A section for players to create art and post custom made media about the game)
-Screenshots
-Artwork
-Videos
-Miscellaneous (Anything that doesnt fit in the other categories)

=Matchmaking (A section for players to meet up and schedule times to fight)
-1 on 1
-Match planning
-Miscellaneous (Anything that doesnt fit in the other categories)

=Guilds (A section for players to advertise their guild in the game and accept new members)
-Guild promotions
-Alliances
-Miscellaneous (Anything that doesnt fit in the other categories)

=Support (A section for players to get help or report errors about the technical aspects of the game)
-Bug reports
-Guides about the game
-Technical support

I say add Prefixes to posts so we know what it's about.
Multiple sections are pointless.

What's the point of adding a miscellaneous section? Isn't that the whole point of the off topic section?

 

Sections adds organization and with so much stuff going on in this game this is practically needed.

 

Not necessary yet since we're not transferring until after the end of March.

 

Organization is only useful if the community is organized, which it's not. Prefixes for thread titles would be enough.

The state of the community has nothing to do with making legitimate sections on the forums.
Besides a couple of new sections will help cut down on spam in general discussion and make things easy for people who are trying to target a specific audience with their topics.

 

Of course a few more sections are needed, but making it as extensive as you listed in your OP would leave a few sections nearly empty such as the miscellaneous sections, as they would just be posted in their respective subsections (suggestions, guilds, creative section, etc.).

 

Do this, then give the option to filter the posts by content - similarly to how subreddits are handled.

 

I think we should wait until we actually transfer over before doing all of this.
