Suggestion about events system

    I have an idea for u guys from RedFox Games!
    Can Implement Collection Quest For Make Events More interesting, all ppl can collect certain items droped by mobs, so depending on the level of the collection completed, will be the event, and can be x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8, x9 and x10 for make this more interest for all new and older players..
    and all the collections list will be detailed in the forum..
    it's just a simple suggestion.. ;)

    This isn't really a new suggestion, it's actually incredibly old but it worked well at the time because of how low the rates were and how rare exp events were - other than the "Lucky Rooster Event". I believe Warda was behind the collection events and would release a large list of items you had to get and once list was completed your server was given a bonus on drop/exp?

    I don't know how viable these would be due to the changes made with our most recent publisher who has absolutely pumped us with exp events and items. The rates were originally incredibly low that having a x4 for a couple of hours each day of the weekend meant the server would be rammo. I remember players screaming for parties on Lucky Rooster and the Collection Event because people wanted the biggest amount of gains for their time. With these TTE and weekend bonuses so common, the server has become somewhat dead - imagine if you had three hours every week day of triple exp back in Acclaim - the server would have most likely melted.

    That being said these sort of events could work if Red Fox has no intention of pumping out events and making us essentially work together as a team to get the bonuses. We no longer have Bardo, Nirvana or Asura so there wouldn't be servers fighting over who is getting the bonuses which added to the motivation of doing the events. Lucky Rooster for a couple of hours of double exp also showed just how popular the servers would get but again times have changed, the player base has become accustom to quick levels so depending on the base rate for this, working on a list of items which could mean 1k of a single item might just not be worth it to players.

    Just space events out, make them an actual event. Acclaim weren't big on giving out free exp and only on special world events like Easter, Christmas, Halloween, Memorial Day, etc... would you get exp bonuses, that or events setup by staff.

    No it wouldn't. VGM were as much trouble as they were a solution. There is a lot of nepotism with that system. Leave it to GMs and tickets, it might take longer but at least there is no favouritism. We haven't seen them in years, maybe that says something?

    It worked back in the day, but do remember that in this version we will have loyalty system, which basically requires you to donate any trash mob drops which usually were left on the gorund, sold at npc or used for those old collection quests. Never seen it before so i can't tell how much exactly it would "cost" us to give up those items for the sake of future event.

    It was more like reaching the lvl cap wasn't for everyone back then. Right now majority of players had IM / HG characters, back in the day to reach lvl cap or near cap you've had to be one of the most dedicated players. First time it took me around two years to reach lvl cap when it was set on PS4 ( or something near that ). Later, when i came back to 9d published by GC ( i didn't transfer my old one ) it took me less than 3 months to reach IM12 from the scratch... I did spend a lot of time daily on it, but i agree it shouldn't be that easy.

    I absolutely hated it, people kill stealing mobs off each other.
    I remember when Acclaim did a full day of triple xp for the first time, I grinded for like 10 hours straight that day.
    I remember thinking I didn't even have time to eat because that XP was so good at the time.
    Would I do this again? Would I **...
    I look back now at these times and ask myself was this game making me mentally ill? It certainly didn't do wonders for my IRL social life, and its not normal to miss meals to lvl up a bit faster on a videogame.
    These days I wouldn't sit in front of a computer for 10 hrs unless I was being paid good money.

    Well, some of us are still no lifers and will always be no lifers :) i'll play 10 hours without eating even when i'm 80 (if i'll ever reach that age haha)

    Let's am sure they will run a event could be a RF event to
    find "Easter Eggs" in forums. Hmmm where did I see that
    last egg :) They did say something about the KN Stat
    System know how it works am sure XP will be at double
    first few weeks in. Who knows we have to wait to see what
    is next!!
