GMs, how do you feel about macros

Only thing I can go without are Avalon, well when they first came out avalon. Specially that 1 hit KO driver people could make. Back in s1, 1 hit KO was a hack. But I'm just a non spender so I cant complain

 

Lol now we have 2 hit KOs. Or 1 Nanu KO.

 

4b is honestly game breaking anyway and something like low jumping is perfectly doable without macros, it just takes practice. Macroing takes a degree of skill away and gives an unfair advantage to people without a macro keyboard.

 

As a person somewhat familiar with macros on an MMORPG scale, This game doesn't require and/or need its assistance in any form or capacity. Originally macros were intended for games where you had so many skills that in-order to use them all you needed more that the 1 through = buttons to achieve the desired affect.

 

Macros on keyboards are kind of unavoidable at this point since many people have them. I believe they should be banned, but how can you prove someone is macroing on a keyboard? As a company, all you can say is, "Macro keyboards are frowned upon."

 

It takes awhile to realize a macro combo because it can easily just be mistaken for keyboard lag and as well people aren't adamant about reporting anything because of "feelings."

 

The main use for macro is low jump which isn't that advantageous unless the player is really good fundamentally

 

You could lowjump with your keyboard without macros tho... The whole game can be played without macros
Main use maybe for lowjump but everyone knows people dont use it only for that
4b was the consequence of that action
This game isnt mechanically heavy that youd need to macro every little thing its not league or BnS

 

The problem with Faux was it could be macro'd to make it extremely ez and that it allowed unfair combo breaks and didn't really require much predicting like panic break does. Faux you see their panic an then you do the key combination quick and your opponent is screwed.

 

BRING BACK FAUX

 

Let Faux continue to die in peace and just be happy with pbreak.

 

Another problem with Faux was how easy it was in general.

 

It helped build skill level and encourage offensive fighting opposed to the scaredy cat always lure style most people have today
But I mean I wasn't there for it idk how op it was but from what I've heard it wasn't that broken

 

It Kinda did but it was unbalanced. I believe unintended features have to be balanced with Power/Difficulty and Faux was just to much power for its difficulty.Their are other factors that didnt help faux but thats the main one.I agree tho the styles that are coming out now with these basic >>G scrolls aren't helping things for advanced players.

I also see a bunch of bad players bragging about stuff they can only do with macros

 

Funny how the "Are macros/faux/4b wrong?" conversation tends to divulge into that isn't it.
