Why did the use of revival items become taboo?

I have been playing for years now and when I first started around 2008 hardly nobody thought that revival items were a bad thing. Many people loved using them (inducing me) because they sometimes make the fights last a little bit longer. Many players also used to go out their way to purchase revival items which I think about it now makes me really think about how the mentality and thoughts of the players really have changed over the years.

A lot of veteran players reprimand new players for equipping revival items and often times 9 times out of 10 force them to remove them or they will be kicked out the room. In my personal experience of playing for so long im still trying to figure out why this unwritten rule still relevant in todays Rumble Fighter when the skill gap is large enough for most players to overcome "revival items"

What do you guys think?

 

This game is full of egos, and no one likes losing.
So getting someone of the map and having them revive is just a no no for most. I don't really care about rev's in Normal modes but I can't stand it in GW.
Also like I said up top, egos lol.
When a person that should be dead kills you and says some thing "pce" or "ez" it ticks people off, which then leads to a ft9. That's just what I think tho.

So you're saying that certain people in the community gave revival items a bad name because of the situations you described? I understand that this game is very competitive at times but I feel that we should move past this stigma. I mean if the player is rude and mean then cant we just be the bigger person and leave the room or remove them from the room?

What I mean is that we shouldn't let the actions of a few effect the majority. Because when a new player gets the boot several times for using a revival item they are going to question the aesthetics of the game.

 

They hate not getting their kills. I just stopped caring about revival items.

I once played a guy who revived 3 times lol 3 fkin times with devil wings only to ram me off when i was typing then call me ez noob lol but i dont mind them and like the comment above the skill gap is usually big enuff to overcome jus sometimes that 1 guy peeves u off

Why? Because they, just like second panic, give a tangible advantage over anyone not using them.

Before you say stats/scroll/exo give an advantage, yes they do, but their advantage isn't clearly defined. There are certain conditions required that make them effective while revives and 2nd panic are always effective.

The pros of the game actually don't care, because they can just kill you again(Some of them do care for this same reason though). Personally, I don't care if someone uses wings. To be exact, I don't care about much stuff in this game. For most stuff, I just laugh at.

 

Another problem is the fact that after you kill them once, they revive and just run for the rest of the match. It's just not fun. If I kill someone they need to stay dead.
